All those who fail to climb the mountain must start from the bottom again. In this instance, a mountain of items. I couldn't find anything that I wanted when I went shopping on my own, so I got to go back to the shopping mall with my wife, this time to browse through cheap car amplifiers. My wife hounded me to go back to the shops. But she wanted to be my chaperone. My guess is that it was to prevent me from coming back with zilch again. This begged the question of why I had to go if she was going to do it anyway. The job of being her official bag carrier was mine. I think she also wanted the good conversation, even if I am patting myself on the back by saying it.

Imagine treating the search for cheap car amplifiers as a social affair. It doesn't jibe with the way that I think. Her motivations are her own. The irony to all this is that for some reason my wife doesn't have many people who she can bring along with her when she goes shopping. I have always found that to be strange. My sister has had several at every time in her life for as long as I can recollect. Kindred spirits too, who are just as aflutter as she is to look at more items than I care to imagine exist in the world. Anything went with them too. I can't remember particular jaunts, but I wouldn't be amazed if they had gone out after cheap car amplifiers themselves a time or two. The point was just to get out of the house, get together, and go on the hunt for items. Often times not even particular things either.
But my wife just has one good friend who is into that. And she comes from four states away from us so it's a long time between outings for them. I likely would not have gotten stuck with going shopping if that weren't the case. She would have been the ideal candidate to go round looking for cheap car amplifiers rather than me. And I would be all the happier for it. It's not in the cards though.
I truly have no idea what my sister did to always draw in such a huge group. She's invariably been fortunate about happening on the right people. Those who share the same passions, whatever they may be. She has the gushing, amicable sort of personality that numerous people are drawn in to. Everybody has always been amused and captivated by my sis. Our parents got themselves a lot of wrinkles as she was growing up. Practically none of the typical transgressions were a stranger to her. I wouldn't say she hung out with the wrong kinds of kids as much as I would say that she was the wrong kind of kid herself. People were inclined to flock to her, and not the other way around. Then there were the renegade boyfriends. This was her modus operandi. I went the other way, never seeing any point in making anyone worry about me. Boring, but considerate. And just the person that I wanted to be.
We both grew up all right though. That part genuinely brings me joy. I think each family has their difficult patches to go through. If your family members are there to help you and with a lot of luck, you get through it. Speaking of rough times, I wish I had a surefire way of getting through the fix I'm in right now. The little situation filled with cheap car amplifiers. I would do a dance of joy.
There was a thought that did occur to me. What if I persuaded my sister to come and hang out with my wife more. At least as far as excursions to these shops go. We live in the same area now. Then I came to my senses! That girl was trouble then, and she is trouble now! Yup, that was a joke. Kinda... Sorta... Perhaps... Maybe...
That's ok. I will just keep standing by my wife, being the best shopping buddy I can be. When I am accompanied by my wife, it's really more pleasant. We still have fun with each other, ya know. Even after all the years, I still can't get too much of her company. And no, we didn’t buy any cheap car amplifiers even with her there too. Another failure in that department. This run, for the two of us. We are destined to go back there once more on my very next day off. That's fine. I enjoy any time I get to spend with her.
